Dean Welcome

Welcome to the College of Business Administration (CBA) website. Thanks to the generosity of the Carl and Joyce Mammel and Bill and Ruth Scott families, CBA moved into a stunning new home in August, 2010. The new facility is well-designed for the college’s educational needs. It is clearly the best business school building in our region, and one of the best nationally. Visit our Mammel Hall link Mammel Hall to learn more about our new laboratories, classrooms, auditorium and collaboration spaces.

Our students, faculty and staff continue to excel both in and out of the classroom, garnering numerous awards, winning multiple competitions and publishing important research. We have many international business opportunities as well. Our partnerships in Germany, India, China, Finland, Ireland, Costa Rica, the Netherlands and other nations provide opportunities for our students to study abroad and our faculty and staff to develop a host of projects.

CBA graduates continue to be in high demand among businesses and not-for-profits in the region. CBA graduates are starting careers this year at Alegent, First National Bank, Methodist Health System, Mutual of Omaha, Northern Natural Gas, Union Pacific, Wells Fargo, and in many entrepreneurial firms (checking with others). CBA’s internship program is the best in the region, with 70% of CBA student interns being offered employment by their business following the internship. Businesses, alumni, and friends provided over $450,000 in scholarships this academic year alone.

The following pages and links provide the details behind these stories and many more. CBA is a dynamic organization, one that is on the move. We are pleased to share our sense of excitement and achievement with you. Let me also invite you to visit the college. We would enjoy showing you our new beyond state-of-the-art laboratories and collaboration spaces, and telling you more about our innovative programs. Give us a call (402-554-2303) and we will schedule a visit.

Sincerely,

Louis G. Pol, Ph.D.
