Dr.
Louis Pol
Dean, College of Business Administration
Louis Pol is a native of New York City and has been dean of the college since March, 2004. He has been a Peter Kiewit professor since 1993, and holds a courtesy appointment in the department of Preventive and Societal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He was associate dean of the college from 2000 until 2003. In addition, he has held faculty posts at Memphis State University, the Roy Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, the University of Ulster at Jordanstown in Northern Ireland and the University of Calabria in Italy.
Louis is the author of six books and 70 articles and book chapters, primarily in marketing, research methods and healthcare, and is on the editorial board of four professional journals. He has conducted research and lectured in the United Kingdom, Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Argentina and Turkey.

Dr. Lynn Harland
Associate Dean, College of Business Administration
Professor Lynn Harland, formerly the chairperson of the Marketing and Management Department, became the associate dean in August 2006. Dr. Harland has her PhD from the University of Iowa. She has taught Leadership Development in the Executive MBA program, and Essential Leadership Skills, Managing Performance in Organizations, and Organizational Theory & Design in the MBA program. She was awarded the 2003 University Excellence in Teaching Award, the 2004 MBA Professor of the Year Award, and the 1998 and 2002 Dean's Citation Teaching Awards.
Dr. Harland is a member of the Academy of Management, Midwest Academy of Management, American Psychological Association, Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Society for Human Resource Management, and the Human Resource Association of the Midlands.

Dr. Robert Bernier

State Director, Nebraska Business Development Center
Bob Bernier has served as state director of the Nebraska Business Development Center since 1979. NBDC programs include the small business development center program funded by the US Small Business Administration, the procurement technical assistance program funded by the US Department of Defense, the manufacturing extension partnership program funded by the US Department of Commerce, the pollution prevention resource information center funded by the Environmental Protection Agency, and the NBDC Training Program. NBDC training programs offer non-credit courses to enhance the technology, business, and management capacity of Nebraska business employees. NBDC generates approximately $1.5 million per year in government grants to the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
In addition to NBDC programs, Dr. Bernier is responsible for the Executive Education Program and has had leadership roles on numerous University committees, particularly in the development of the College of Information Science and Technology. Dr. Bernier has served as president of the Association of Small Business Development Centers. He received his Ph.D. in public administration and his MBA in finance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and his BA in journalism from Kent State University. He worked as a newspaper reporter before joining the University of Nebraska at Omaha as assistant director of University Relations in 1974.
