CBA Scholarship Criteria
CBA scholarship applications are evaluated by a committee made up of CBA deans, administrators and advisors. An applicant’s essay and recommendation letters are considered along with his/her academic records. Applicants may include a list of awards and activities with the application.
Criteria differ across the various CBA scholarships. Some require that awardees have specific areas of specialization (“majors”), academic achievement, financial need, residence, and/or demonstrated leadership potential. Scholarship awards range from $500-$8500 per year.
All CBA scholarships require students to be enrolled as full time students in UNO’s College of Business Administration, and are administered without regard for race, color, religion, age, gender, marital status, political affiliation, national origin, disability or sexual orientation.
UNO’s CBA Scholarship applications are due by February 1. CBA’s Scholarship Committee reviews all applications and notifies award recipients by mail in late April or early May. Applications are kept on file until the end of the calendar year. If you have questions about the application process, please contact the CBA dean's office, 402-554-2304 or mlandholt@mail.unomaha.edu
After completing 135 earned hours on the UNO transcript (no matter where those hours are earned), CBA undergraduate students no longer qualify for CBA general scholarships or renewals. CBA departmental scholarship requirements may differ from general scholarships and usually have their own application forms.
All CBA scholarships are administered without regard for
race, color, religion, age, gender, marital status, political affiliation, national origin, disability or sexual orientation.
