Teaching
Professor Sindhav teaches Marketing Research in the undergraduate program, Marketing Strategy in the MBA program, and Leadership and Managerial Toolkit in the Executive MBA program. Dr. Sindhav's other teaching interests include doing business in emerging economies, and Social Media Marketing. He has taught classes at Aalto University in Mikkeli, Finland and the Management Institute in Innsbruck, Austria and has visited China, Japan, the UK and Australia with Executive MBA students for market feasibility studies for clients. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Professor award by the Department of Marketing and Management in 2008.
Research
Professor Sindhav's research interests focus on areas of business-to-business commercial relationships, including communication and coordination issues among firms in marketing channels. He, with his colleagues at the UNO, has studied organizational justice in marketing channels and perceptions of justice among airline passengers following the 9/11 events. Dr. Sindhav is also researching issues related to marketing on the Internet, including E-tailing and Social Media.

His work has been published in the Journal of Retailing, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Journal of Marketing Channels, Journal of Market-Focused Management, Journal of Social Sciences, Journal of College Teaching and Learning, Journal of Cases in Information Technology, Environmental Business Review and in several conference proceedings. He has been a reviewer for the Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Channels, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice and AMA conferences. He also served as a co-chair for the retail track at the Academy of Marketing Science Conference. His research paper on online retailing was selected for a special prize in a competition organized by the American Academy of Advertising and Ad-Tech. He is a Senior Research Fellow for the Institute for Collaboration Science at UNO.
Service
Dr. Sindhav is a member of the American Marketing Association and Beta Gamma Sigma, and has served on a variety of CBA and university committees. He has provided expert comments on various local and national media. Before entering academics, Professor Sindhav was a senior marketing executive at the Gujarat Gas Company Limited in India. As a first recruit in Marketing, he was responsible for designing and implementing the launch of Liquid Petroleum Gas for household consumption-a newly liberalized sector in the economy. Prior to that, he was a senior marketing executive with Amul, India's largest food enterprise.

Through his marketing research class, Dr. Sindhav actively helps local for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Most recently receiving assistance have been PowerPaws, a local garden tools business, and the Henry Doorly Zoo of Omaha.
