PhD (University of Manchester, England) Professor Nazem teaches Business Statistics and Business Forecasting. Other teaching interests include Information and Telecommunications Policy.

Research
Professor Nazem's research interests include information and telecommunication technology policy, and business forecasting and planning. His work was been honored by research awards from the National Governors Association and the Transportation Research Forum. Dr. Nazem has published in European Journal of Operational Research, Information and Management, Journal of Database Management, Telematics and Informatics, Journal of Food Product Marketing, Journal of Technology Transfer, Omega: International Journal of Management Science, International Business Schools Computing Quarterly, International CIS Journal, Journal of Resources and Energy, The Mid-Atlantic Journal of Business, Business Economics, and Annals of Operations Research. He serves as a reviewer for Decision Sciences, Information Resource Management Journal, Omega: International Journal of Management Science, and Journal of Database Management.

Service
Dr. Nazem is a member of Information Resource Management Association, American Statistical Association, Association of Information Systems, and the Institute of Forecasting. He has served as a consultant for the Office of Technology Assessment, Washington D.C. and the National Board of Prices and Income, U.K. Before entering academe, Professor Nazem worked for Central Electricity Generating Board in the U.K., and Union Pacific Railroad.
