University (MIU) in Cairo, Egypt
I
taught two weeks at MIU covering selected Auditing, Advanced Auditing, and
Intermediate Financial Accounting I topics.
Each class met for approximately six hours per week. I also gave two presentations on introduction
to fraud examination to two groups of seniors to provide ideas for possible
graduation projects that all students are required to complete prior to
graduation. During April through June I
supervised two student groups’ graduation projects.

Moldova
I
taught advanced auditing in the master’s of accounting program at the Academy
of Economic Studies as part of a Fulbright Senior Specialists grant, and also
presented a fraud awareness seminar to the Association of Accountants and
Auditors in Moldova.

I worked as a consultant as part of a USAID grant team doing a financial review of the university.

I taught a three week course on internal auditing, presented a half day roundtable on internal auditing to public and private sector accountants, and gave a presentation on accounting curriculum to professors from universities in Moldova.
June 2002 and 2003 Faculty exchanges both years
I organized and hosted 24 faculty members and Deans from the Academy of Economic Studies, Chisinau, Moldova for two week and four week visits at UNO.
July – August 2002 Consulting assignment with the FMTAA USAID project in Chisinau Moldova
I wrote proposed regulations for a new Moldovan law to regulate the practice of auditing.
May – June 2002 Academy of Economic Studies, Chisinau, Moldova
I taught classes on auditing, consulted on curriculum development and teaching methods, and presented an auditing topic at an auditing practitioner’s roundtable.

I consulted on curriculum development and made arrangements for faculty exchanges between AESM and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
