CBA Bylaws, adopted by Faculty Spring 1997

In Spring 2005 the CBA Faculty did a major re-write of the reappointment, promotion, and tenure (RPT) rules as well as scattered other provisions (e.g., grade appeals) of the Spring 2005 CBA's Policies and Procedures. 
The RPT rule changes are not retroactive, however, a faculty member may choose to be evaluated under the new rules.  Otherwise, only faculty with a hire letter dated May 19, 2005 or later is covered by the new RPT rules in these P&P.  All other changes took effect immediately.  Accordingly, the CBA Policies and Procedures circa Spring 2000 still are in effect with respect to their RPT provisions.
