NOTES FOR ALL STUDENTS: Be sure
to visit the Course
Materials and Handouts web page.
FIRST, particularly note the three documents all students are expected to
have read prior to the first day of class
(i.e., Reasonable Expectations,
Critical Thinking, and Memorization Techniques).
SECOND, in math related classes,
be sure to obtain a copy of the summary of Math Rules.
The URL for web pages
end in either HTM or HTML, while the Adobe Acrobat pages end in PDF.
Most of these links are in PDF.
You will need
to have previously downloaded and installed the free reader software for Adobe Acrobat Reader. The
free download site is http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html
FIREWALL?
Students who attempt to open a web based PDF file on a computer that is behind a firewall,
sometimes report blank pages or a freeze.
Adobe is a large, slow opening
software. All computer interfaces uses some form of "time out"
setting.
Particularly if the web connection is slow and/or is through a firewall, the file may
freeze.
To avoid this outcome, before clicking on the link to open a file, first
open the Adobe software.
