Dr. Bail Retires - Dr. Traywick Becomes President

Following President Bail's retirement in 1965, Leland Traywick, who had been hired during the fall of 1964, became the University's president in February, 1965. Dean Lucas sent the new president an information report about CBA that November. He noted that CBA was increasing its enrollments through two sources: more transfers from the University Division, and increases from the military students enrolled in the College of Adult Education. This increase in enrollment required that additional University resources be allocated to CBA to permit more sections of courses to be scheduled for students who are not seeking business administration degrees. This report also noted that graduate courses offered by CBA is benefiting faculty recruitment efforts.
