Restructuring The MBA Program

The earlier decision to name Dean Lucas head of the newly established MBA was short-lived. By mid-1969, it was apparent that graduate courses should be aligned with their respective departments. With the graduate courses located departmentally, any department that desired could develop a program to meet student need for graduate-level training such as Master of Science in Accounting, Master of Science in Management, or a Master of Science in Marketing.

The advanced degree in marketing, however, has not materialized. This report to the President acknowledged several kinds of recognition accorded to CBA faculty. Dr. Glenn Lewis was honored by Rho Epsilon, the national real estate fraternity as being its "Man of the Year." Both professors Rokes and Newport gained distinction for the number of articles published in professional journals. Both Professors Harris and Bull were voted by the Regents to continue their respective Kayser Professorships.
