NBDC IS Recipient Of Numerous Awards

Nationwide attention was drawn to the Rural Communities program of the NBDC by a feature story in the July 21, 1982 edition of The Wall Street Journal. This spotlighted NBDC program distinguished itself through its emphasis on productivity and statewide service. Further recognitions have been accorded through several awards. These include the Exxon award for innovation in graduate curriculum from the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business, the Leavey Award for Excellence in Private Enterprise Education from the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge, the Educational Utilization Award for the National Association for Industry Education Cooperation, and a special commendation from the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. Further publicity for the Rural Communities Program was presented in a July 9, 1979 Business Week article.
