CBA Alumni Provide Evident of Quality of Education

One way Dean Hille's reviews the academic health of the college in his annual reports is by tracking the progress of alumni. During the 1997, for example, he noted that one alumnus had been elevated to bank president, while others were serving in senior capacities in a variety of organizations such as one engaged in public accounting, real estate development, public utilities, retailing, and engineering. Similar levels of outstanding achievement receive special mention in succeeding annual report.

Each year, the College identifies three distinguished alumni whose attainments merit special recognition. These persons receive the College's Distinguished Achievement Award. Since 1997, thirty-six alumni have been accorded this honor. CBA alumni can improve their ties to the College by becoming members of CBA Alumni Associates, the official alumni organization of the College of Business Administration. The College also seeks support and guidance from a National Advisory Board that provide advice to the Dean. College departments also find it beneficial to develop their own respective advisory groups.
