Lucas Society Inductees

Established in 1998, The Lucas Society honors those who have made a substantial commitment to the growth and continued success of the UNO College of Business Administration.

Delaine and Dorothy Donohue - 2003

Delaine (Dee) Donohue began his career with Dun & Bradstreet Corp. following his discharge from the Air Force in 1954. At the same time, he resumed his college studies at night and graduated from UNO in 1962.

He continued to advance with Dun & Bradstreet over a span of 37 years, retiring in 1988 as a senior vice president. Dorothy Donohue graduated from the Jennie Edmundson School of Nursing in 1949. She was house supervisor at Nebraska Methodist Hospital when she retired from full-time nursing in 1959.

The couple were married in 1957 and they followed Dee's career from Omaha to locations that included California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Since their retirement, they divide their time between Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Sun City West, Arizona.

The Donohues established the Delaine R. and Dorothy M. Donohue Excellence Scholarship fund that provides full tuition for a student in the UNO College of Business Administration.
